Through digital/analogue hybrid techniques, Chiu experiments with reality, matter, and form in order to create and appreciate imaginary worlds in front of the camera. A graduate of the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong, she was one of the third-round finalists of Foam Talent Call 2019 and her photos were selected as one of the highly rated entries for the LensCulture Emerging Talent Awards 2016. Chiu's photographs were featured in the S'lim Magazine published by the Helsinki-based collective Selim Projects.​
